Senior Expert Business Development (all genders)

Your tasks

• Contributes to the development of OMVs circular economy business with a focus on chemical plastic recycling in close collaboration with the responsible Head of Department.
• Identifies growth oppoprtunities in line with Chemicals & Materials business strategy in Europe and international markets.
• Continously monitors the market and competitor activities in order to identify new business models, technologies and strategic partnerships, prepare analysis for strategic discussion, management updates and planning exercises (Strategic Implementation Review, Mid-term Planning).
• Leads the origination, development and implementation of business projects (e.g. feedstock sourcing, pre-treatment, venture-based licensing, M&A, new circular product development and partnership development).
• Manages defined work packages in business, investment and technical projects, and ensures delivery of milestones in time, budget and scope.
• Represents Circular Economy interests on conferences and seminars, the planning and monitoring of technical trial runs with respect to technology development and feedstock analysis.
• Negotiates with potential project partners, suppliers, offtakers in order to reach strategic targets of the OMV Chemicals & Materials business division on time and in quality.
• Prepares board presentations, board documents and strategic analysis for Executive Board, Senior Vice President and Head of Department level, ensures ongoing co-operation and communication between Corporate Development Departments and other Functions and Business Units in OMV, Borealis and OMV Petrom.

Your profile

• You have a Masters Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Chemicals, Industrial or Management Engineering.
• You have minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in working in the circular economy space (e.g. mechanical/chemical recycling) is a plus.
• Above-average analytical capabilities and high level of precision and the ability to capture and structure complex problems and develop solutions.
• Experience in working in project/ matrix structures is an advantage, but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other languages, in particular German, is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel.
