Purpose Of Job

Accurately and efficiently complete assigned tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment - electric and manual pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, WMS applications, and other shipping applications. Depending on location, may assist customers and make deliveries.

Job Components

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Handle product per warehouse standards (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse management, including assisting customers and backing up Hot Shot drivers
  
  

Qualifications

• High school graduate and strong basic math skills
• Excellent communication skills required
• Minimum ½ year experience in warehouse operations - including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment
• Previous customer-facing experience is desirable
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems is required
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Sense of urgency and well organized
• Cooperative team like attitude
• Able to work overtime if requested
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Must successfully complete a post-offer criminal background check and drug test prior to beginning work.

Work Environment

• Exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Heavy lifting up to 100 lbs (team lift where appropriate)
• Repetitive lifting
• Consistent walking
• Standing or walking for two-hour intervals
• Repetitive taping of boxes
