As the Vice President of FP&A, you will be responsible for driving financial excellence and being at the helm of strategic financial management within our dynamic division. Your role is pivotal, focused on enhancing profitability, optimizing processes, and pioneering transformative initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster strategic alliances with key stakeholders, including Divisional President, Sales Vice Presidents, CFO, and the Corporate Accounting and Finance team.
  • Lead the development of annual budgets, monthly sales forecasts, and quarterly income statement projections.
  • Monitor and refine gross margin forecasts to align with our financial objectives.
  • Execute precise calculations for quarterly inventory and accounts receivable reserves, showcasing your financial acumen.
  • Serve as the financial interpreter, effectively communicating financial results and expectations to our business unit leaders.
  • Navigate complex financial landscapes, conducting meticulous monthly performance analyses compared to budget and previous years.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with our retail and planning teams, contributing to retail margin support forecasts and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Drive financial insights by conducting ad hoc analyses, illuminating strategic pathways.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in contemporary software platforms, including Google Drive/Applications or equivalent.
  • Expertise in financial systems and control mechanisms, guiding financial excellence.
  • Mastery of Excel, complemented by experience with Hyperion Essbase and familiarity with in-house operating systems.
  • Adept at harmonizing corporate objectives with divisional aspirations.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities with a track record of meeting stringent deadlines.
  • Unwavering resilience in high-pressure scenarios.
  • Proactive mindset with an innate ability to anticipate emerging business challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with outstanding interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Strong organizational prowess, enhancing your analytical capabilities.
  • Profound financial proficiency, exemplifying exceptional problem-solving skills and natural leadership qualities.

Education and Experience:

  • A foundational Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A seasoned professional with at least 7 years of work experience, including demonstrated success in leading financial teams.
  • Possessing CPA and/or MBA credentials is highly advantageous.
  • Previous experience navigating the intricacies of the apparel industry is considered a valuable asset.
