What part will you play?

  • This exciting role will report to the Regional Sales Director and work closely with the Solar Sales team in other regions.
  • The primary purpose of the role will be to actively work with roofing contractors and distributors to enhance and increase the build out of the GAF Energy residential solar products in the Region. This individual will play a critical role in managing the exciting convergence of the roofing and solar industries.

What will you be doing?

  • Growing residential sales of GAF Energy solar products to existing roofing channels
  • Working with a targeted group of residential roofing contractors to introduce and enhance sales of new GAF Energy solar products.
  • Insuring roofing contractor clients receive the necessary training, sales tools, and support to successfully sell and install new GAF Energy solar products.
  • Working with one-step roofing distributors on developing strategies to grow their business by stocking and selling GAF Energy products.
  • You will work with branch managers, inside sales, and outside sales representatives in developing and executing a business plan to continually grow sales of GAF Energy products.
  • Driving GAF Energy’s Sales team to meet its annual sales goals.
  • Representing the voice of the customer and market for new product development, working with the cross-functional team to report feedback.

What do we require from you?

  • 3 to 5 years of prior experience in sales.
  • Prior experience with solar industry is helpful but not required.
  • Passion for developing new business, helping people, client follow-up, and good problem solving skills.
  • Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with team and peers both internally and externally. This includes excellent written/verbal communication skills in addition to presentation skills.
  • Basic understanding of policy impacts on the solar industry.
  • High energy/high sense of urgency/fast-paced and can think on his/her feet.
