Senior Designer Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage interior design projects from initial concept through to final execution, maintaining a high standard of quality and adherence to project timelines.
  • Develop and prepare detailed construction documents, interior detailing, specifications, and schedules. This will include extensive custom millwork detailing.
  • Collaborate with principal, clients, contractors, and team members to ensure cohesive and effective project delivery.
  • Present design concepts and proposals to clients using a variety of media including Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Produce and oversee the preparation of detailed drawings and visualizations.
  • Conduct site visits to manage and monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure design integrity.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for successful, profitable results.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Software Proficiency: Advanced to expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office 365, MAC OS, and Windows.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in a design or architecture firm. Knowledge of construction methods and in the field job site experience required.
  • Education: Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience with construction documents, interior detailing, specifications and schedules. Millwork detailing experience, kitchen and bath design.
  • Design Skills: Strong concept development and creative design abilities.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to create and present design concepts effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Sophisticated ability to communicate concepts and ideas across teams, clients and vendors.

Desired Attributes:

  • Accreditation from a recognized interior design organization (e.g., NCIDQ) is advantageous but not required.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
