Requirements
What to expect as a Pharmacy Tech:
Establish excellent customer service, pay attention to detail, communicate, and have computer skills.
Stock the medication supply machines throughout the facility.
Help to ensure safe medication use by checking outdates, ensuring medications are in stock and ordered in a timely manner.
Help manage medication shortages.
Make sure drugs are stored and secured correctly.
Be flexible, cover days off for full-time staff. Department hours are M-F 07:30-16:00. Schedule will be as needed coverage to meet the needs of the inpatient pharmacy department approximately 20-30 shifts per year with minimum requirements of 4-5 days of training and 1 Friday monthly.
Qualifications
High School or equivalent required.
Licensed/Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy required.
Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
