Position Summary

The Network and Security Services Supervisor leads the IT Network, IT Network Security and Voice & Data teams and is primarily responsible for the design, implementation and management of the Corporate Enterprise Network and Communications Infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Set the mission, vision, and strategy of the Networking Services organization.
  • Introduce innovative, differentiating Network, Network Security and Voice & Data capabilities that enhances our overall competitive capabilities and increases employee productivity.
  • Work with IT senior leadership on service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources, including budget.
  • Establish, manage, enforce, meet and report relevant KPIs and SLAs to FMC IT Management and Stakeholders.
  • Provide advanced design, implementation, support and management services for Network and Communications Infrastructure across FMC Sites and Data Centers, along with FMC Public and Private Cloud operating environments.
  • Accountable for providing Service Management and Escalation functions for FMC’s Global Network infrastructure, working closely with our support partners and Service Desk organization in the consistent delivery of Networking services.
  • Develop and enforce Global Standards and Policies in the areas of Networking, Security, Telephony and Communications.
  • Manage full lifecycle of Network and Communications Technical Infrastructure including inventory, decoms and upgrades, maintenance renewals and support information.
  • Provide capacity forecasting/budgeting informing IT and Business Managers about enhancements and key capital investments.
  • Develop and Manage Network and Communications design documents, diagrams and other documentation.
  • Adhere to and enforce all FMC IT, PMO, Audit/Compliance, Finance, Legal, Procurement and Data Privacy Office standard processes and policies.
  • Lead due diligence and decision-making process regarding Network and Communication infrastructure strategy and vision.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate IT, Regional and Site IT, Business functions, and strategic partners.
  • Provide Vulnerability Management function for all Network and Communications infrastructure, adhering to FMC Vulnerability Management standard.
  • Work collaboratively with direct reports to support their career progression, nurture their development and to help them realize their potential.

Required Experience:

  • Ten or more years of experience in an Information Technology Discipline in an organization of similar size and scale.
  • Minimum of five years people manager experience
  • Minimum of five years of design and implementation experience in IT I&O in an organization of similar size and scale.
  • Strong vendor management, contract and billing drafting and dispute expertise.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in Enterprise-class LAN and WAN devices such as Load Balancers, Appliances, WAN Optimization devices, Firewalls, Switches, and Routers
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in infrastructure networking, systems and/or Web operations including but not limited to Internet, Web Application and Process Control Firewalls, Remote Access VPN Solutions, IPSEC VPN, Security Information and Event Management, Web Filtering, DNS (internal and public), Endpoint Protection, Public Key Infrastructure, External Certificate Services, Data Loss Prevention, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with WAN and LAN concepts, Network security, optimization, load balancing, performance monitoring and system resiliency/availability. Including but not limited to SDWAN technologies and Zero Trust Security applications. Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with core networking protocols and technologies such as BGP, OSPF, 802.1Q (VLAN), 802.1x (NAC), 802.11x (Wireless), STP, Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, and SNMP.
  • Experience with the implementation and support of Network Management tools.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Voice and Video Convergence gateways, protocols, codecs, and load balancing technologies.
  • Understanding of cloud service providers like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Knowledge of cloud-native technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless computing.
  • Ability to analyze business impact of IT upgrade and maintenance and ensure timely execution of such activities with minimal downtime or impact to end-users.
  • Ability to carry out due diligence and ensure compliance, risk and security are in check with the organization's needs.
  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
  • Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and IT operating models.
  • Good understanding of an organization’s technology stack and networked systems.
  • Experience developing, strategies, and roadmaps for executing project plans.
  • Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives, technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Good knowledge of and command over the breadth of various technology stacks to effectively design and implement robust IT solutions.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Good understanding of developing, maintaining and updating IT standards and controls
  • Basic understanding of network protocols and standards, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.
  • Good knowledge of data modeling and data flow diagrams to understand the IT system design principles.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical and skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent Managerial Finance, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
  • Organizationally savvy, with the ability to navigate organizational politics.
  • Skilled at influencing, guiding and facilitating stakeholders and peers with decision making.

Education

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field of study, or equivalent experience with technical training, or work/military experience .
