The HeartShare St. Vincent's Services (HSVS) Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic is committed to a client-centered, family-focused and culturally responsive approach to clinical services; welcoming all persons with kindness and respect, and effectively engaging clients in a broad spectrum of high quality, highly individualized behavioral health services.
The Master's Level Student Intern is responsible for engaging individuals and families referred to the mental health clinic, conducting assessments and providing evidenced based treatments.
The Intern will participate in weekly individual supervision and weekly didactic (group supervision) with other interns led by the Senior Behavioral Health Officer and Associate Clinic Director. Therapy will be provided On-Site at the Downtown Brooklyn clinic..

Responsibilities
- We expect both Afternoon and Evening hours at least one day per week.
- Caseload will be up to 7 to 8 patients.
- Process Recording and Case Presentations will be required.
Requirements
- Students in a Master's Degree Program: Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Art Therapy.
- Bilingual in Spanish, Creole, Russian or other language preferred
- Commitment of either two Full-Time Day/Afternoon/Evening or a combination of day and evening for at least 16 to 21 hours a week depending on graduate program requirements
- Able to meet weekly therapy targets based on work hours.
- Attend weekly Clinical Supervision.
- Participate in department training/intern didactic.
- Able to learn our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, complete documentation within 48 hours of session completion (including notes and billing), and maintain patient confidentiality.
