Who We Are Looking For:

Populous is seeking a highly skilled and strategic individual to join our team as the Growth and Market Analyst. This role will play a critical role in driving our strategic growth objectives across our current markets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of market dynamics, strategic growth opportunities, and have a proven track record in acquisitions and talent identification globally.

Our preferred candidate will have prior experience in the AEC industry, and an interest in working in a dynamic global design environment with a diverse range of public assembly building types, including sports venues, convention centers, and transportation facilities.

What Your Day Could Consist Of:

Market Understanding and Strategic Growth:

  • Comprehend the breadth of our current markets and strategic growth objectives.
  • Identify and locate potential firms for acquisitions or senior staff for hiring across the globe.
  • Prepare and implement an analytical process to determine key issues with acquisitions, including cultural fit, leadership transition, and financial health.


Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare monthly reports as directed by the CEO and CGSO, suggesting candidates for discussion and review with our investor, PEP.
  • Conduct competitor analysis for all three regions, identifying market share retention, gains, and losses across all market segments.
  • Manage and analyze key success and failure elements if service lines are marketed separately from market segments.
  • Establish methodology and rationale behind the redirection of growth initiatives based on market analysis.
  • Quarterly assignments based on Board of Directors requirements.


Stakeholder Communication:

  • Prepare quarterly reports for the Board of Directors meetings.
  • Report directly to the CEO and CGSO, providing insights and recommendations based on market analysis.
  • Prepare an annual market analysis report, either internally or in collaboration with external consultants.


Requirements For Success:

  • 5 years of experience in strategic growth roles, preferably with a global focus.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Experience in identifying and managing acquisitions, including due diligence and integration.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and across different regions.
  • Strong presentation skills: The ability to create visually compelling presentations and data visualizations using tools like PowerBI, Tableau, and other graphic and presentation software.
  • This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business, Economics, Architecture, or a related field.
