About the Role:

Wiley is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Event Specialist to support their Community Engagement team in executing seamless events throughout the year for their four Assessment brands: Everything DiSC®, The Five Behaviors®, The Leadership Challenge and PXT Select™.

As an Event Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of virtual and in-person events. You will work closely with our Event Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute flawless events that exceed expectations. Your attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and ability to adapt to different event formats will be essential in this role. How you will make an impact:

  • Coordinate and support our virtual events, including registration build, platform management, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with the virtual producer/s and assist with live support.
  • Support planning and execution of in-person events, including vendor management and logistics coordination.
  • Create and maintain detailed event timelines to ensure all tasks and deadlines are met, and the event runs on schedule.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand event objectives and requirements.
  • Manage event registration processes and track attendee registrations and attendance. Provide support to registrants and assist with onboarding.
  • Support on-site and virtual event production, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for attendees.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and improve future events.
  • Please note: Overnight travel may be required for support with events.

What we look for:

  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience in event planning and coordination, both in-person and virtual.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in event management or similar relevant field preferred but not required.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Cvent virtual event platform and related technology preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office products, specifically MS Excel.
  • Attention to detail and a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

The range below represents Wiley’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the UK, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
