Diesel Technician - Truck Mechanic -Senior Level w/Engine Rebuild Experience

Up to $3,000 Hiring Bonus!

$30 Per Hour

1st Shift Mon-Fri

7AM to 4PM OR 8am to 5pm

Our team is currently looking for a Senior Level (5 years Experienced Diesel Technician - Truck Mechanic with engine rebuild experience (5 years ) to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. What are the Duties?

Diesel Technician Performs all repair duties of a diesel technician in service and repair of all makes heavy duty truck / trailer / Engine rebuild experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Service and repair work, floor work, suspension, and brakes.
  • Inspect engine or transmission for conformance to standard. Diagnose cause of non-conformance. Identify corrective action necessary to correct non-conformance.
  • Includes Engine Rebuilds.
  • Diagnose and repair basic equipment wiring.
  • Computer literacy and good verbal communication skills.
  • Detroit Diesel or Allison Transmission training is a plus


EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years minimum/10 years Preferred related experience/ training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred - Experience with J-Pro/Tech Tools/Eaton diagnostic software.
  • Allison transmission experience is a plus
  • Engine building experience strongly encouraged (5-10 years).
  • Preferred- Technical / Vocational School Diesel Program Certificate/Degree Preferred.


PHYSICAL And SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus
