The Amlon Group is a global environmental services company focused on recycling, processing, treatment and management of metal bearing industrial waste streams. Due to company growth, we are looking for a Business Development Manager with industry knowledge.

Responsibilities: The Business Development Manager will identify, introduce, develop, and nurture business relationships with companies and individuals within their designated territory (US/Canada). The Business Development Manager’s goal is to generate and maximize revenue for the Longview and Port Allen Plants and the company overall.


Territory Management - Consistent territory management and revenue growth with assigned accounts primarily through site visits, but also via calls, virtual meetings, and email. The goal is to get face-to-face with each account.


Consultative Selling - Identify customer’s needs and react appropriately while understanding the market conditions and local competitors pricing.


Prospecting - Strategically prospect in our customer base including refinery, petrochemical, syngas, catalyst manufacturing, and nontraditional accounts in coordination with the Director of Sales. Utilize data collected from LinkedIn, conference attendance, catalyst handlers, etc.


Networking - Develop a relationship with vendors and consistently contact them in person, by phone, and by email to gain industry information.

  • Responsible for opportunities from Radar Screen to Settlement.
  • Consistently use HubSpot to maintain all data related to customers, companies, and Deals.
  • Engage with the team to create proposals that meet client needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate and contribute to the Weekly Sales Call
  • ·Maintain knowledge of The Amlon Group’s capabilities, the Oil & Gas industry, and factors influencing the market environment.


Experience

  • College Degree in a science or technical sales preferred
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in sales within the chemical, refining, or petrochemical industries
  • 5 years of experience with a CRM such as HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or Salesforce
  • A valid driver’s license & ability to obtain a TWIC card.

  • Proactively engage in natural verbal and written interaction with customers
  • Ability to walk into unfamiliar environments and adjust rapidly to the setting
  • Computer skills and ability to share information in our systems (HubSpot, PandaDoc, MS Office Suite)
  • Multi-tasking individual who uses project management skills to accomplish goals
  • Autonomous, self-starter
  • Ability to establish priorities and proceed with objectives
  • Customer service focused
  • Must react to changing business needs
  • Works and communicates effectively with all levels of the company, teamwork
  • Attention to detail
  • Assertiveness


Physical Requirements and Workplace Conditions:

  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee will encounters while performing the essential job functions of this job.
  • Employee is required to sit, stand, walk for extended periods.
  • Travel will be required to visit company locations across multiple states/provinces. Travel by car and airplane will be required.
  • This position works in a home office environment and will be required to be outdoor at plants and customer site. Safety glasses and closed toe shoes are always required when in a plant or warehouse.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically low.
