Assistant Buyer - RTW Apparel

Our client, a well-known fashion brand, is searching for a temporary Assistant Buyer to join their RTW team in NY!

Responsibilities:

• Complete markdowns
• Enter purchase orders & reconcile receipts
• Ensure timely delivery of merchandise through consistent communication with the vendors, distribution center, and buying team
• Generate weekly reports for RTW team and work with the buying team to analyze business trends
• Execute pricing changes and programs markdowns and sale events
• Manage all internal retail management systems critical to the operations of the business
• Partner with the warehouse operations team to resolve purchase order issues

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of relevant buyer experience (RTW experience is a MUST)
• BA/BS Degree
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and v-lookups), PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
• Strong organizational and prioritizing skills to ensure timely and accurate execution of responsibilities
• Must be proficient in retail math (calculate margins, sell through %)
• Be able to multitask in a fast paced environment
