Location: Dongen, The Netherlands (1 FTE)

We are looking for a very passionate person who loves logistics and everything associated with it. As we are building a logistic community within Ardagh Glass Europe, in the beginning it will be about understanding and getting to know the supply chain of our glass industry. Being curious and wanting to structure all the logistic elements is of key importance. Over time the logistics across Europe will be put on the sourcing roadmap. In the role of Logistic Sourcing Manager you are accountable for identifying and sourcing the most cost efficient and reliable, fit for purpose logistic services. Our European footprint in glass production consists of 20 plants across 7 countries.

Responsibilities

Identify and categorize the logistic spend within Ardagh Glass Packaging Europe, total >€130 million.

• Define the sourcing roadmap, setting priorities together with the European Logistics team.
• Help create and implement logistic procurement strategies that are fitting for each region.
• Accountable for annual saving initiatives within logistics.
• Build collaborative relationships with vendors servicing the industry.
• Engage with vendors to reduce costs and lower our CO2 footprint.
• Execute tenders and negotiations for all logistic services.
• Ensure compliance with relevant requirements and regulations.
• Incorporate all logistic services contracted in the Contract Life Cycle management system of Ardagh.

Education & Training

• Universal Degree.
• Supply Chain / Logistics / Economical background.

Experience

• Solid experience within supply chain.
• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional (virtual) team in a multicultural organization.

Competencies & skills

• Self-starter, comfortable with being uncomfortable and curious by nature.
• Effective communication and influencing skills, ability to convince and persuade others.
• Strong analytical mindset and preferably lean six sigma knowledge.
• Ability to think globally and act locally combining strategic thinking and excellence in execution with strong accountability and responsibility for achieving results.
• Resilience and ability to prioritize when facing conflicting demands and high workload.
• Excellent MS-Office skills, quicker learner of systems / tooling.
• Fluency in English.
• Traveling 50%.
