Provides expertise and guidance for the development and enforcement of organizational underwriting guidelines, policies and processes. Applies complete knowledge, skills, and practices to perform assignments.
What will you do?
Achieve process performance goals, both at the individual and work unit level.
Contribute to high quality risk assessment and management within the work unit.
Support customer focus for internal and external customers.
Understand and contribute to rating, information collection, and workflow improvements
What will you need to succeed?
Must Have:
Strong mathematical skills
Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven collaboration/team player mindset
Ability to think conceptually and outside the box
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines
Strong negotiation, persuasion and conflict resolution skills with a bias towards customer service
Nice to have:
2 to 3 years of experience as a Group Underwriter or Group benefits experience
Ability to speak and write in French is considered an asset
