We are looking for a creative Graphic / Packaging Designer who is passionate about educational toys to join our team!

Viahart was founded in 2010. We are an innovative educational toy company. We design, manufacture, and distribute plush, active play products, and building toys. Our company's goal is to inspire capability and confidence in children. Our brands include the building toy Brain Flakes, the plush line TigerHart Toys, the racket game Goodminton, and the Aquapella brand of swimming products. Our products have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, on television (CNBC and NBC), and in the New York Times. Job Title

Graphic / Packaging Designer

Job Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities

• Graphic design
• Packaging artwork design (boxes, booklets, instructions)
• Logo design
• Designing Artwork for Online marketing (social media, email, website, etc.)
• Managing photographers who will take photos of our products
• Creating marketing images with simple text and product photos
• Doing market research to understand how other companies communicate customer benefits and what aesthetics or designs are succeeding in the market
• Organizing files, images, folders, etc. so we can find our work later
  
  

Secondary Responsibilities

• (Experience not required as long as you are passionate and eager to learn)
• Designing stuffed animals and other plush
• DIY Product photography
• Filming videos
• Editing video for social media (vertical) or advertisement/product explainer videos (horizontal)
• Online marketing (Taking simple photos and filming/editing simple videos for our social media and website, email campaigns, etc.)
  
  

Job Requirements

• High integrity
• You should be passionate about plush animals and building toys
• Pragmatic; for example, while design is important, our products must sell, and should be designed as such
• Clear written and spoken English communication
• You must be able to understand each of our brands’ aesthetics
• You must be able to recreate those aesthetics with your own work
• You must appreciate our mission to educate children through our toy products!
  
  

Location

• This is a work-from-home (or a work-from-a-coworking-office-space) position
• You must be able to join our 9 AM Texas time semi-weekly meeting (lasts not more than 30 minutes)

Compensation And Benefits

• This job will start at $1,200 a month, but is negotiable
• You will be paid $552 every 2 weeks
• You will be paid in US Dollars
• This is a full-time job with 40 hours of good work per week on average
• Bonuses are given at the beginning of every February BASED ON MERIT. These range from 0% to 15% of yearly salary
• 10 working days of paid time off (aka 2 weeks) will be offered. You will get your vacation after a 3 month probationary period
• The US holidays of Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Years Day are paid holidays. They are not deducted from your vacation
• You will need to work on Black Friday, Christmas Eve (you leave early), and New Years Eve (you leave early)
