Vice President Product Engineering

We are on the lookout for an experienced engineering leader with a robust background in product environments and proven expertise in delivering scalable SaaS products to a broad user base. This role specifically involves leading of common “platform” services such as user management, eligibility, release flagging, observability, dev frameworks, CI/CD pipeline management.

It involves driving a high-performing team to build and drive centralized services across our product portfolio.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Vision and Prioritization: Ability to articulate a clear vision, define success, and prioritize critical tasks while operating under ambiguity and time constraints.
• Business Acumen and Strategic Thinking: Exceptional ability to identify patterns and opportunities across a complex ecosystem of products and services.
• SaaS and Database Technologies: Demonstrated outstanding craft in delivering SaaS and database technologies at scale.
• Technical Expertise: Deep technical experience with Cloud Technologies (preferably AWS) and a solid understanding of systems engineering and high-availability design.
• Software Development Lifecycle: Experience operating at different levels across the entire software development lifecycle.
• Partnerships and Influence: Skilled in creating strong partnerships, influencing stakeholders, and driving business outcomes across data, product, marketing, and sales.
• Learning and Application: Ability to independently research and learn new technologies and business processes and apply them as needed.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Passion for facilitative leadership, collaboration, and leading teams across boundaries.

How You Will Lead:

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional leaders on strategy, prioritization, and feature delivery.
• Team Support: Work with Engineering Managers to remove roadblocks, review roadmaps, articulate business outcomes, and establish measures of success.
• Transparent Communication: Recognize the value of transparent, honest communication and the necessity of sharing information.
• Organizational Structure: Participate with peers to ensure the organizational structure supports the team and company goals.
• Innovation Exploration: Continually explore innovative business practices and determine their fit for the team and company.

Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering; MS degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Professional Experience: 10 years of professional development and engineering experience.
• Leadership Experience: Leadership experience in the retail sector, preferably in SaaS or supply chain domains, and experience especially managing and leading centralized platform services for SaaS companies.
• Global Interaction: International professional experience with senior stakeholders globally.
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: Desire to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Results Delivery: Ability to consistently deliver exceptional results on demanding timelines.
