We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join our sales team. The Technical Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by providing technical expertise, demonstrations, and support to prospects and customers throughout the sales process.
Roles And Responsibilities
Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and propose technical solutions that meet their needs.
Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proofs of concept (POCs) to showcase our products/services to prospective clients.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing product information, and resolving technical issues.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of sales proposals, quotations, and responses to RFPs/RFIs with a focus on technical accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.
Work closely with product management and engineering teams to convey customer feedback and requirements for product enhancements and new features.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including technical decision-makers, engineers, and C-level executives.
Stay updated with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to effectively position our solutions in the marketplace.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop technical content, case studies, and collateral that support sales initiatives and customer education.
Provide training and knowledge transfer to sales teams on technical aspects of products/services and competitive differentiation.
Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Proven experience (X years) in a technical sales engineering role, preferably in [industry/sector] or with [specific technology].
Strong technical background with knowledge of [relevant technology/product], including hands-on experience with [specific tools/software].
Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
