Packaging Production Artist

Position Summary:

The Packaging Production Artist will assist the Packaging team & lead file optimization and packaging tech packs. They will assist the team with graphic material, packaging, display and marketing projects. They will collaborate with packaging designers to format artwork, translate conceptual ideas/requests into manifested physical designs, and will often collect, process and organize files. They will independently problem solve and support the team through obstacles and challenges, such as limited development time, construction and cost engineering, to help keep collective Packaging team workload on track.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Work with Senior Packaging Designers, and Packaging Team to implement design strategies consistently across high volumes of packaging skus

· Act as an instrumental team member within the Packaging department and provide creative and practical support, as well as suggestions on how to maintain and improve organized and efficient workflows

· Efficient time management skills to consistently deliver high quality work, in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

· Create and execute packaging & display mechanicals ready for press (rfp)

· Lead file optimization for all packaging and display artwork – including color profiles. Clean up files, outline files for Costing, Sampling and Production stages.

· Manage PLM packaging tech packs from trim creation to final packaging tech packs. Maintain and provide statuses in tracker charts

· Partner with all designers to drive efficiency in the file release process

· Submit packaging files to Licensing manager for brand approvals

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure styles are prepped in PLM to ensure packaging guides/tech packs are connected - Design, Merchandising & Production

· Mockup packaging & product displays for our retailers in advance of production in order to provide a visual representation of the final product

Qualifications:

· 1-2 years of experience in packaging design, and POS displays

· Highly organized, process-driven, and detail-oriented

· Has a keen, well-trained eye for design, typography and color

· Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills required

· Experience with licensed branding, and interpreting brand style guides for product extensions

· Bachelor's degree in related field

· Experience creating “rfp” (ready for print) mechanicals

· PLM and Airtable experience a plus

· Experience and/or knowledge of photography & photo re-touching a plus
