The purpose of this position is to provide a clean and adequate supply of linens for the various departments and to ensure the students clean personal clothing.
RESPONSIBILITIES (scope And Complexity)
This position assumes the authority, responsibility and accountability of providing an adequate supply of linens/personal clean clothing to meet the needs of the students and facility.
This position works within the guidelines of ACCC policies/procedures, State and Federal Laws, Rules, and Regulations.
JOB SPECIFICATONS (skills, Knowledge And Abilities)
The incumbent must be able to learn and follow laundry procedures and practices; learn to operate the washers/dryers; to push and pull loaded laundry carts; to iron and fold linens neatly; and to follow oral and written instructions, and understand material safety data sheets.
The incumbent must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills; being tactful, courteous, and diplomatic with internal and external contacts. Must be able to adapt to rapid change, and must be able to intervene promptly in crisis/emergency situations.
Understand and have a working knowledge of our Time Care System, washers/dryers.
Define Actual Functions That Are Fundamental To This Position
The laundry worker performs assigned laundry duties promptly and accurately to assure all departments receive a clean and adequate supply of linens/personal clothing.
Follows laundry policies and practices.
Operates all equipment according to manuals.
In addition to the functions described above, this role may include other responsibilities and duties as assigned, based upon ACCC needs and or requirements.
