Job Summary

Provides support in the efficient execution of foreign exchange transactions by working closely with external correspondent banks and internally with Treasury Management team members, operations and other stakeholders to ensure accurate trade processing and compliance with regulatory requirements. Contributes to the evolution of the foreign exchange (FX) team, helping the FX trading and sales teams, while improving internal controls and visibility. Assists the product team and trading/sales desk by streamlining processes, implementing forward thinking technology solutions, helping to manage risk, and providing trade execution and client support. Creates queries regarding positions, profit and loss, mark to market, regulatory reports and general inquires.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provides support and works closely with teams across the organization including Legal, Compliance, Information Technology, Risk, Operations, Client Services, FX Sales, and FX traders to gain efficiencies, optimize trade processing and reduce processing errors.
  • Maintains and manages daily tasks including trade reconciliations, trade allocations, management control reports, and trade statuses. Performs analyses of discrepancies to help resolve trade issues or client queries. Manages, escalates and resolves all requests, inquiries, issues, and errors and identifies policy gaps. Ensures accurate trade capture, position management, and inventory continuity day over day.
  • Performs front to back reconciliation of life cycle events for Global FX/FX option/FX exotic currency pairs, inclusive of all option expiry events, while monitoring internal controls to ensure compliance with procedures, KPIs and KRIs, and sample testing.
  • Sets up client margins and core rates in various systems and trading platforms. Conducts pricing reconciliations, escalations of breaches, and processing of the deals
  • Monitors trade flow from electronic trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Dealer Platforms) and the processing on FX Platforms. Reconciles Live/EOD positions. Conducts margin calls and actively watches market to market hedges.
  • Acts as process owner for current workflows and provides project support regarding enhancements to technology, workflows, and processes. Gains strong understanding of trader's individual risk management tools, understands risk information pathology for front office traders and supports related trader's needs.
  • Recommends enhancements/upgrades of trader's tools to influence the advancement of technologies and tools. Works with Treasury Management FX leadership to prioritize needed enhancements and supports user acceptance testing as enhancements occur.
  • Leads the process of confirming various trades (e.g., FX, Commodities, Investments, Syndications) executed by Treasury Management FX Trading. Maintains standard settlement instructions and has oversight of upcoming settlements within the FX Accelerate Treasury Management system.
  • Creates standard operating procedures leveraged by the FX Operations team to help expedite trades. Performs operational reconciliation to ensure that all cash movements to settle the trades have been reconciled. Streamlines operational activity and complies with regulations. Coordinates and support ad-hoc projects with the Treasuring Management FX Trading and FX Operations.
  • Helps drive change within organization to improve the way clients interact and to grow the business. Drives adoption, integrating, and promotion of new technology as it becomes available.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, applied mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, or a related quantitative field.

Minimum Experience:

Two years of experience in an FX global trading support role such as derivatives middle office, front office desk support.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of FX and other products including rates and credit
  • Has risk and controls awareness and ability to apply this to the FX ecosystem
  • Excellent communication skills in various forms, including verbal, written and presentational
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people at all levels both internal and external
  • High degree of professionalism with the ability to influence and effect change within an organization
  • Exceptional ability to think analytically coupled with strong written communication skills
  • Understanding of key regulations such as Dodd Frank and SOX
  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software programs

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Experience working on Finzly
  • LATAM/Emerging Market FX experience a plus
