A leading Resorts/Gambling firm with 3500 heads and a $1.5bn turnover in the US, is looking for a Financial Analyst Manager to join their forward-thinking team. They will look to deliver high quality and quantity of analytical work critical for the organization's financial success.
Key responsibilities include creating and reviewing budgets, forecasts, and performance reports along with a focus on ensuring data integrity across financial processes through the application of analytical and technical skills. A P&A Manager’s conduct as well as the quality of work should promote a detail-oriented mind-set, a pursuit for efficiency, and the ability to think critically about issues that are material to the progress of the organization.
Essential Duties
Lead, coach and develop a high performing team of financial analysts. Ensure the team produces high quality deliverables that are both timely and accurate.
Oversee the centralized strategic planning function by recruiting, training, managing, and inspiring a team of financial analysts. Drive end-to-end execution and maintenance of the annual budgeting/forecasting, analytical reporting, financial modelling, strategic/operational analysis, and data-warehouse development for the company
Engage in cross-functional projects to include Accounting, Marketing, and Operations to identify P&A's contribution in advancing the overall strategic interests of the organization
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, scenarios, and projections to support strategic decision making, utilize tools such as Anaplan, excel, SQL and others.
Understands that P&A serves a critical function as a strategic partner to the executive team, and as a result, can be called upon to meet standards of quality and quantity of work that may significantly exceed other functional areas within the company, to include working during non- business hours, maintaining a constant communication link with the management team, and exhibiting readiness to participate in business critical projects
Job Requirements
4 years experience in a Senior Financial Analyst or Financial Analyst II / III position
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Math or related area with a quantitative emphasis, preferred
Experience in the Gambling/Casino/Resorts & Hospitality space
Extensive knowledge of Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Ability to write queries using standard tools to extract data from relational (SQL) databases
Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methods, with the ability to build models using retrieved data
Experience with Marketing Analysis and associated statistical techniques
Experience building financial models and a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts such as discounted cash flow and valuation
Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methods, with the ability to build models using retrieved data
Anaplan experience preferred
