Business Development Manager


Do you have a strong track record of success in relationship-focused, consultative selling, with a strong ability to drive sales growth?


We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a new awarding organisation (currently going through Ofqual registration) that's revolutionising music education across the UK.


This is a remote working role, offering a generous commission scheme, so there is lots of potential to significantly boost your earnings.


Position: Business Development Manager

Location: Remote (monthly visit to Gloucester)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours (flexible working)

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience (plus commission, circa £57k OTE)

Contract: Permanent

The Role


As the Business Development Manager, your primary focus will be to drive growth by recruiting centres (schools, colleges, and independent training providers) across the UK and internationally. Your success will be measured by your ability to establish these partnerships and work with centres to achieve high numbers of certified and registered students.

The role also involves participating in strategic development, with the potential to progress into a Director position as the organisation expands.

About You

In this pivotal role, you will have a strong track record of success in relationship-focused, consultative selling, with a strong ability to drive sales growth. With exceptional communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct professional and persuasive conversations, you will have an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to spot new opportunities within the market.


Experience selling qualifications, training, or learning solutions, preferably in the education sector is desirable.


This role requires a relational approach to sales, where you will conduct yourself professionally and persuasively, both over the phone and in face-to-face meetings.


Your passion, perseverance, and ability to spot new opportunities will be key to expanding reach and making the organisation a leading force in the awarding sector.
