Location: Lisbon, Portugal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of automated systems and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor system performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Participate in the design and development of automated solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in writing and debugging PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) code.
  • Support the development and integration of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
  • Ensure all automated systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., FDA, GMP).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including system specifications, validation protocols, and user manuals.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of validation plans for new and existing systems.:
  • Work closely with production, quality assurance, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of automated systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on automated systems and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and contractors regarding system requirements and performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose automation solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology and industry best practices.
  • Participate in continuous education and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in an automation or systems engineering role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation software is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of automation systems and control theory.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text).
  • Understanding of network protocols and IT infrastructure related to automation systems.
