How You Will Make a Difference

As Sr. GL Accountant, you will play an important role in the day-to-day financial operations within the GL team. In this role you will ensure accurate and timely reporting of the financial results together with your peers. As GL accountant you will report to the Manager Accounting

Job Duties

• prepare monthly accruals and provisions, including payroll related items
• prepare reconciliation of all balance sheet items and documentation for review in Blackline
• prepare VAT Returns, including journal entries
• prepare reconciliation of intercompany accounts (incl. loans/interests) and intercompany invoices

• process GL related bank entries
• actively participate in the month end closing
• participate in the audit of our statutory accounts
• participate in projects within our company and within the Steris Group
• keep in contact with other Steris entities across the globe
  
  

Requirements

• a HBO or University degree, Bachelor or Master in Economics, Accounting
• at least 4 years working experience in a finance department
• experience working in the finance department of a large, multinational organization
• an exceptional eye for detail
• knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or willing to acquire this knowledge
• great English communication skills
• a Microsoft Office-pro
• an eye for process optimization
• knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Oracle
