Water Resources Engineer

Hire Resolve's client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Water Resources Engineer in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Work within a team of highly experienced and creative engineers to problem solve, analyze, and evaluate projects from planning through construction
• Assist with the planning and design of challenging drinking water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure, including preparing Preliminary Engineering Reports, Plans, Specifications and Estimates for:
• Drinking water infrastructure: wells, storage tanks, pipelines, pump stations, pressure reducing stations, and water treatment facilities
• Wastewater infrastructure: wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and pipelines
• Recycled water infrastructure: storage tanks, pipelines, pump stations, and pressure reducing stations
• Assist project engineers with other project tasks, such as:
• Analyzing and evaluating hydraulic calculations and hydraulic models
• Performing research and field investigations
• Analyzing and formulating technical documents and reports
• Coordinate with other disciplines for project development, including geotechnical engineering, land surveying, electrical engineering, and structural engineering
• Occasional field visits and inspections to assess infrastructure deficiencies, project progress, and problem solve issues
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and/or Master of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering with concentration in water/wastewater
• 2-3 years of progressive relative water/wastewater infrastructure design experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Innovyze InfoSewer/InfoWater, and ArcGIS
• Understanding of hydraulics and pipe networks
