Tasting Room Host (Part Time) - Deep Eddy Vodka Visitor Center

What The Role Is

Upon entry to the facility, the Deep Eddy Vodka Visitor Center Host will greet individuals or groups. This will be a part-time position with responsibility for working 2-4 days per week, including weekends.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

• Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs
• Divulge information that keeps the guests focused on the topic of interest while highlighting the visual artifacts and other offerings
• Describe tour points of interest to group members and respond to questions
• Act as an educator by providing unique and important facts to inform the visitor's curiosity.
• Attain and expand personal knowledge of the Company, its products, and the distilled spirits industry
• Effectively sell our products and services to customers
• Monitor visitors' activities to ensure compliance with the establishment
• Provide directions and other pertinent information to visitors
• Work and assist in the preparation of events and meetings at the Visitor Center as required
• Work in our retail store, tasting bars, and perform light janitorial responsibilities
• Operate the point-of-sale system in the gift shop
  
  

Who You Are…

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of related customer service experience
• Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to talk to others to convey information effectively
• Service Orientation – actively looking for ways to help people
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work in a team and be a self-starter
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Basic computer systems and technology knowledge, including cash registers, point-of-sale systems, scanners, etc.
• TABC certified and TX Food Handler Certified
  
  

Valued But Not Required Skills And Experience

• Previous work experience in the distilled spirits industry
• Familiarity with Vodka knowledge and language
• Previous work experience in a visitor center, tourist attraction, or retail gift shop
  
  

Physical Demands

While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and use computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
