Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor organizes and maintains inventory and stock controls. Ensure

that the storage areas and warehouse are kept clean and tidy, which includes identifying

areas where processes could be improved, and work practices amended. Excellent

attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills is required. Brings a quality

aspect to all warehousing operations. Lead by example and provide clear direction while

supervising staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees warehouse operations pertaining to fulfillment, transfer, kanban, MRB, and on urgent demand requests
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques. Create staff schedules, training plans and follow onboarding processes.
  • Active role in training, performance assessment, development, and disciplinary responsibilities
  • Lead investigation and corrective actions related to discrepancies, NCR, and CAPAs.
  • Assist colleagues when necessary and continue to be polite and helpful at all times to ensure a smooth running of the warehouse.
  • Provide clear verbal or written instructions so that the expectations of employee roles are understood
  • Motivate direct reports, provide guidance, and delegate tasks, which requires your strong leadership skill
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Responsible for ensuring warehouse is always ready for internal and external audits
  • Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards
  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data and spreadsheets and strong numeracy skills to carry out these tasks efficiently
  • Maintain and develop departmental procedures
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, shipping, warehouse, and the quality of goods
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 5 – 6 years of relevant experience
  • Forklift Certification preferred, not required
  • California Driver’s License as Required
  • Previous work experience in a lab preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible with tasks and schedules
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment

Work Environment:

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority

of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to

sit for extended periods of time.

Additional Information

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $85,600 to $115,600. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
