Responsibilities

  • Performs sales calls to existing and potential customers on a regular basis to facilitate growth in regional sales and profitability. Negotiates pricing and supply/confidentiality agreements to support business growth. Monitors account financial status to ensure liquidity and A/R in line. Responsible for achieving the agreed sales budget targets for her/his selected customers and/or regions.
  • Accumulates competitive and market data to guide future growth. And communicates this information to Global Segment and Key Account teams (as applicable) and regional business management.
  • Develop a personal network within the sales territory and represent the organization at trade shows and other events to identify sales opportunities, gain market insights, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation
  • Provides valuable input into developing 3 year sales plan. Complete detailed sales forecasting and customer key account plans. Maintain project pipeline and opportunities with sales, profitability and probability of success to develop funnel of future business.
  • Develops pre-plan for customer calls, submits detailed visit report, and plans follow-up. Continually builds knowledge around the performance and value of our products and services to provide more innovative and cost-effective solutions to our customer base. Coordinates technical resources for customer visits and manages resources and timelines for customer projects.
  • Manages other miscellaneous customer issues (including complaints, regulatory requests, audits, Accounts Receivable, etc.)

Requirements

  • Education and Professional Experience:
  • BS in Chemistry or related field, experience considered in lieu of education.
  • 5 years sales experience minimum; 10 years sales experience preferred; chemical industry experience required and cleaning industry preferred
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Experiences practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide technical guidance when required
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Developing appropriate plans and/or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
  • Planning, organizing, prioritizing, and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
  • Applies understanding of the business environment and objectives to develop solutions
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge to act independently while providing guidance and training to others on using clear and effective verbal communications skills to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies.
  • Adept to reviewing and creating relevant, lucid, and effective reports.
  • Capable of developing, monitoring, interpreting, and understanding policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. 11. Demonstrated ability to propose solutions and novel concepts for a range of commercial issues.


  • Target Salary Range

    $109,100- $185,500 per year (salary to be determined by geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data)
