We are seeking a seasoned market-facing professional with extensive expertise to join our team and spearhead the growth of our presence within the healthcare market. In this role, you will leverage your in-depth knowledge, relationships, and hands-on experience to expand our book of business through innovative thought leadership initiatives and the nurturing of key strategic alliances. Your ability to shape who we work with, bring in new business, and manage projects will be instrumental in this leadership role.
You will play a crucial role in expanding our presence and book of business in the healthcare market. The role entails a multifaceted approach, encompassing business development, project management, and staff development within the market sector. Specifically, the position will involve dedicating 60% of time and effort towards driving business development initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, and fostering strategic partnerships. 20% will be allocated to project work, involving the planning, execution, and delivery of projects vital to the organization's objectives. The remaining 20% will focus on mentoring and nurturing staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to facilitate their professional growth within the healthcare market sector.
Procure and manage new contracts and project revenue goals annually
Assume the leadership role in managing the project pursuit lifecycle
Commitment to design excellence, innovation, and personalized client services, including relationship management, problem-solving, decision-making, and collaboration
Enhance and cultivate relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants to generate new business opportunities
Meet or exceed project timelines and budgets setting a standard of accountability and efficiency that contributes to the success and delivery of the project
Forge strategic partnerships and alliances to garner new business opportunities ahead of competitors
Build and execute a business development plan to meet the goals of the business
Oversee and manage aspects of the project
Lead the internal team with authenticity to guide, mentor, and nurture their professional development focusing on their growth in the healthcare market
Align shared values and objectives with prospective clients that drive new opportunities
Actively participate in conferences and focused industry events to enhance, establish, and build new relationships while strengthening our presence in the market
Showcase DES’s expertise and thought leadership through presentations and panel discussions
Requirements
Architectural degree
Licensed Architect preferred (CA license a )
15 years of relevant work experience in the SF Bay Area A/E/C Industry
A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in the SF Bay Area Healthcare market sector is a must
Experience in HCAI/OSHPD-oriented project work
Knowledge of CA building codes & ADA preferred
LEED Accreditation preferred
Revit proficiency preferred
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/projects and develop business relationships
Mentor with authenticity for the professional growth of the team
Excellent written and verbal communication, business acumen, and presentation skills
Proven track record of building and sustaining strong client relationships
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Hybrid work environment, work onsite in our Redwood City or San Francisco office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
The typical pay range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 in total compensation. Compensation depends on the individual's skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
