The full-time Account Executive position is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of complex public relations and strategic communications programs and other responsibilities including but not limited to:
Responsibilities
Serve as day-to-day client contact
Creating client materials including press releases, media pitches, talking points, FAQ’s
Conducting media relations to secure coverage in print, broadcast, radio, web and blogs
Managing project status reports and editorial calendars
Understanding / ability to manage advertising, marketing and digital campaigns
Developing social media content
Researching editorial calendars, speaking opportunities, media lists and other topics
PR and social media management and measurement
Special event planning
Attending meetings/events after hours on occasion
Editing and proofreading
Qualifications
3 years’ experience at a public relations agency or in-house client experience
Track record of securing media coverage for clients
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Eagerness and ability to conduct media relations follow-up calls and pitch editors/reporters./bloggers
Strong interpersonal skills and be able to work independently with multiple active projects
Ability to anticipate and solve problems quickly
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and with a sense of urgency
Strong organizational skills and follow-through
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
Proficiency with social media / digital marketing – understands trends and latest technologies and has experience contributing to campaigns
