Job Summary

Engages in laboratory, translational, or clinical research under the direction and guidance of a faculty member, developing skills necessary for success as an independent investigator.

  • Maintains and expands knowledge on general advances in science and medicine and on progress in specific field.
  • Attends and actively participates as a discussant at seminar series presentations and at regional/national scientific/clinical meetings, and presents work results and journal club articles in the mentor's research setting.

*Qualifications*

Minimum

*Experience:*

Laboratory or clinical research at the post- baccalaureate level with an interest in surgical innovation.

Education

M.D. or MBBS. degree or equivalent in a relevant field

Special Skills

Familiar with basic computer, mathematical, scientific, reasoning, and oral and written communication skills as appropriate required.

Preferred: Familiarity with surgical technique Beyond minimum required experience writing research reports concerning own work and familiarity with a biomedical discipline

$26.51 - $38.44 /hour
