Inventory management,
Preparing medications for a pharmacist final check
Delivering medications to patient areas
Conducting medication area inspections
Providing technical assistance
Performing clerical duties
Provides guidance to others as needed
Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment within the boundaries allowed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
Responsible for adhering to standards of professional, legal, and ethical practice and all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and/or guidelines of the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
Will abide with agency leave policy, abide with rules, regulations, policies and performs other duties as assigned.
Licensure, Certification, Or Registrations Required
Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
Must be able to pass a urine drug screen and background check
Valid Photo ID
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
Experience in pharmaceutical assistance work.
Experience in Pyxis MedStation System preferred.
Experience in manual cart fill preferred.
Experience with medication room inspections preferred.
Experience with manual and automated medication repackaging preferred.
