All Voices Nutrition (AVN) is a premier outpatient eating disorder/disordered eating private practice located in New York City that assists clients in-office and virtually. Role Description

All Voices Nutrition (AVN) is looking to hire a part time registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) to join our growing team in providing nutritional counseling and/or meal support in a non-judgmental, HAES aligned, non-diet, and weight neutral manner.


The RDN must have experience working with persons with eating disorders and be knowledgeable about supporting those that are struggling with anxieties, stress, and confusion related to their relationship with their body, food, weight/shape, and movement. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, warm, dedicated, empathetic, and passionate about helping people recover from eating disorders or disordered eating. The position will be an independent contractor role offering competitive pay, referral and retention bonuses, and a collaboration monthly stipend. Case consultation with other eating disorder dietitians and therapists will also be provided as AVN wants to support the RDNs by offering no cost opportunities for professional growth and development. This position could also expand to include compensation for time spent on marketing materials, leading group programming, and/or creating nutrition related content beyond nutritional counseling sessions or meal support, if the RDN is interested.


AVN is specifically in need of RDNs that can work a hybrid schedule, meaning at least 1 day in the office (conveniently located at Bryant Park) and 1 - 2 weekdays during the hours of 5 - 8pm Eastern Time Zone. The RDN can be located anywhere; but should be able to support client sessions during these hours. Additional hours are determined by the RDN so as to increase their flexibility. This is a great opportunity for an RDN looking to advance their career in private practice.

Compensation

$30 - $70 per hour, approximate range and depends on RDN’s level of experience


Schedule

Must be available to work 1 day in the office, 1 - 2 weekdays during the hours of 5 - 8pm Eastern Time Zone

The option to work during other weekdays and/or weekends and the RDN gets to choose these hours


Role responsibilities

  • Provide nutritional counseling and/or meal support utilizing a weight-inclusive, HAES-aligned, and non-diet approach
  • Maintain all required documentation, progress notes and treatment plans, in accordance to insurance guidelines
  • Coordinate with client's treatment team members: therapists, RDNs, family members, and physicians, as needed
  • Adherence to client information privacy regulations - ensure that all client information is kept confidential and secure
  • Lead nutrition education and support groups or create education materials and resources, if requested/interested

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
  • A valid, full registered dietitian nutritionist license as required by law
  • At least one year of experience with working with those struggling with eating disorders
  • Proficient knowledge of: eating disorder nutritional counseling, the application of medical nutrition therapy for eating disorders, motivational interviewing skills, and the levels of care for eating disorder treatment
  • Must exhibit a high-level of professionalism, interpersonal and communication skills, creative problem solving, organization skills, and the ability to work independently
  • Proficient with systems such as: telehealth portals, doxy, Google Workplace, and EMR platforms
  • Must be self-motivated, reliable, and an empathetic and kind human
