Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Enthusiastically support and contribute to manufacturing program and tools
- Support the development of manufacturing processes; design, modify and test methods and equipment requirements
- Process improvements: Conducts evaluations, suggests designs and spearheads development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment
- Mitigate waste: maximize efficiency and minimize waste
- Lean Six sigma understanding: Implement lean processes, conduct time studies, identify continuous improvement initiatives
- Review, Update and Write detailed process work instructions and standard work.
- Prepare 3D models and data for drawing change requests to customers.
- Preparing First Article Inspection reports (FAIs) for new parts process changes
- Updating Capability monitoring data and maintaining databases in Solumina and Net Inspect.
- Preparing OEE spreadsheets and presentations for Cell performance monitoring and improvement
Basic Qualification:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Industry experience of 2-3 years preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a LEAN environment and a familiarity with the methodology would be a plus
Other Preferred Qualification are:
- Experience with AutoCAD, Solid Works, or NX
- Advanced Excel
- SAP
