Teacher Job Description (CTE CDC Lead Career Camp Coordinator)
Stipend: $4,500
Overview
CTE Career Camp is a 4-day summer camp to be held at three schools: (1) Goldsboro High School (July 8-11, 2024), (2) Charles B. Aycock (July 15-18, 2024), and (3) Southern Wayne High (July 22-25, 2024) for grades 6th thru 8th grade for Wayne County Public School students. Students will be immersed in a different career program areas daily over a four day span. Each day students will participate in hands-on activities and come out each day with a "take-away." Staff are responsible for working Monday-Thursday from 7:30 am - 1:00 pm, or until all students are safetly off campus. Camp begins each day for students at 8:30 am and ends at 12:30 pm.
Responsibilities & Requirements
CTE CDC Lead Career Camp Coordinator will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordination the Summer 2024 Career Camp.
Assist with teacher section process/interview
Ensure all lesson plans are in place and approved
All supplies and equipment have been ordered and received
Review all marketing materials
Create student application form
Review student applications for special accommodation and individual needs (medical)
Coordinate bus scheduling
Ensure all student are in designated areas for drop-off and pick-up daily
Communicate with nutritional staff on daily lunch numbers
Track teacher and student attendance
Create and execute an exit survey for teachers and camp participants
Ensure all students receive a certificate and take-away
Minimum Education/Experience Required
Current WCPS Teacher
Interest and excitement in the area of working with children
Experience teaching (see Teacher Job Description)
