Assistant Coach Women’s Basketball Description The assistant coach will be responsible for many administrative and on-court responsibilities related to the women’s basketball program. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, managing and implementing the activities associated with running an NAIA basketball program. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Coach in clearly understanding the operational plan for the basketball team
Participate in meetings with the coaching staff, athletic trainers, and University staff to ensure coherent communication throughout the organization
Assist with recruitment activities for student athletes
Help with practice planning and implementation, as well as attend practices to help with on-court sessions and coaching
Work with department administrators in respective areas to ensure the basketball student-athletes are meeting their responsibilities
Facilitate the code of conduct for student-athletes
Travel with team
Assist with film breakdown
Assist in all efforts to promote the academic success of student-athletes
Requirements
Basketball playing/coaching experience
Must be present at all team practices and games
