Role purpose

In this exciting new role, we’ll rely on you to ensure the seamless delivery of our lending products and to be the one of the main points of contact for customer enquiries and supporting multiple Relationship Managers in delivering for our customers new lending needs.


Being a key member of our Lending team, you’ll work alongside our Relationship Managers to identify, attract, and onboard new customers working very closely with key brokers, and you will be central to creating a consistent positive impact in the communities that we serve.


In this role you’ll find yourself…

  • Being the principle contact for fielding enquiries and providing support with the credit process to multiple Relationship Managers on several transactions at various stages of the lending lifecycle
  • Communicating with Relationship Managers, customers and introducers and related third parties to gather information to support the end to end lending process
  • Proactively managing the satisfactory discharge of any conditions stipulated within offers of lending, and any attached facility conditions.
  • Establishing and nurturing positive relationships to become a trusted member of the team and able to adapt and flex to the needs to your team and business to consistently deliver.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in Loan Completions Team to proactively manage post-underwriting case progression and completion with third parties and ensuring drawdown of funds is made in line with customer expectations
  • Being proactive with supporting Relationship Managers in exceeding our customers expectations
  • Making sure Management Information, data and loan management systems are accurate and up-to-date
  • Nurtured for the purpose of being a relationship manager in the future


A bit about you – You are/have most of the following:

  • Operating in a lending environment with Property Investors and Developers and SME borrowers
  • Driven by quality and pace and have a strong desire to exceed expectations.
  • Proactive and infectiously positive – you build relationships by truly understanding what people need and by fulfilling your promises and keep our values close to the way you work
  • Driven by a desire to ensure your work makes a difference and has an enduring impact.
  • Experience with the end to end credit process, including gathering the required information and writing credit reports for the Relationship Manager
  • Laser-focussed attention to detail - your organisation skills are second to none. You are planned, prepared, and can effectively handle competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills which will mean you can extract meaningful data, convey it with clarity and make sure action is identified and taken.
  • Problem-solving skills and an ability to interpret data to identify emerging risks / key trends

What else do I need to know?


Location: London-Based (hybrid working)

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum

Hours: 35 Hours per week
