Job DescriptionEngineering Manager / NPI Manager required to join a manufacturer based in Bicester, Oxfordshire. The Process Engineering Manager will be responsible the day to day management of production and test processes (hands on engineering support) as well as NPI (new product introduction) and process engineering at the design phase.
The Engineering Manager will manage a team of 4, including 2x Production Support Engineer, 1x Senior Process Engineer and 1x DFM Engineer.
The successful Engineering Manager will ideally have a background in engineering management / process engineering as well as exposure to NPI / NPD / Design for manufacture.
This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days office based in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

Hours 08:00 – 16:15 Monday to Thursday and Friday 08:00 – 15:00
Role
Handle pre-production processes for all new product development projects in R&D
Day-to-day responsibility for production and test processes, and for the introduction of new products into production
Overall process responsibility for existing product lines and new products
Work with the R&D teams on new product development (NPD/NPI) projects to ensure designs are suited, and processes are developed to manufacture and test product
Develop and improve test equipment capability
Manage a team of 4, including 2x Production Support Engineer, 1x Senior Process Engineer and 1x DFM Engineer
Manage new product introduction (NPI) into production
Hybrid position with 2-3 days office based in Bicester, Oxfordshire
Requirements
Proven experience in engineering management / leadership as an Engineering Manager, NPI Manager, Process Improvement Manager, Technical Manager or similar
An NPI / NPD (new product introduction) or design for manufacture background
A background in process engineering / improvements
Hold an engineering qualification
Willingness to commute to Bicester
