As our student numbers increase and we continue to diversify our programmes and portfolio, we are looking to recruit a Development Team Lead to join us on a permanent basis. Working remotely (from within the UK), you will be responsible for the technical leadership of a team of Software Developers including; providing guidance, mentoring and overseeing the team’s technical performance.
The role will be expected to have in-depth technical knowledge of C# programming language and related technologies. You will work closely with our Software Architects, business analysts, testers and stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination throughout the software development lifecycle.
As a Development Team Lead at The University of Law, you will:
Ensure the quality and stability of software applications developed by the team
Identify areas of improvement in the software development process and implement best practices to enhance team productivity, efficiency and software quality
Provide effective leadership and management to a team of software developers
Ensure software applications that support the University’s administrative and teaching processes are effectively developed, deployed, operated, supported and maintained
Create and maintain technical documentation, including coding standards and development guidelines
Review of project and process documentation to ensure good quality solutions are defined and meet business requirements.
We are looking for individuals with:
Proficiency in C# .NET framework developing web applications using MVC5
Experienced in managing and mentoring a technical team
Experience of defining and implementing software development methodologies, processes and standards
Experience of the full software development and project lifecycle
Developing and utilising RESTful and RESTless APIs
