Business Consultant, Product Specialist

Do you have experience in creating new, long-lasting relationships with financial advisers?

We are looking for someone to join us as a Business Consultant here at Kingswood Group!

Your role will be to acquire new business opportunities, working closely with the Kingswood Investment Management department and the IBOSS Business Development Team.

What you’ll do as a Business Consultant:

  • To maintain the highest standards of adviser care, professional conduct, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure that advisers are served and managed to the highest professional standards and in accordance with all relevant regulatory considerations.
  • Deal with any ad hoc client requirements and ensure that adviser satisfaction with our services remains at a consistently high level.
  • Follow the company’s operating policies and procedures, so that adviser servicing is conducted consistently and efficiently, and operational risks are appropriately managed  
  • Work with Kingswood WP colleagues to identify opportunities on an individual and group basis to increase penetration of the IBOSS MPS and Kingswood Personal Propositions.
  • Assist the BDM team to develop new channels of growth.
  • Provide analysis reports and information to management on competitor propositions and their current and potential impact on Kingswood and IBOSS propositions and future growth.
  • Provide feedback to the CIO, Head of Investment Management, and leadership team on MPS and Personal product range.
  • Maintain close working relationships with colleagues in operations, compliance and other support areas, to ensure that client service is delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain and record one’s own continuous professional development relevant to the role, including a close ongoing understanding of the investment markets relevant to clients; awareness of developments in the investment industry; and a good understanding of relevant regulatory developments.

This list is not exhaustive, and you will be expected to undertake any other task as reasonably requested by your line manager where appropriate training and/or guidance is provided.

What we’re looking for:

  • You’ll have experience in portfolio construction and all major asset classes with a bias to collective investment schemes
  • A background in technical investment
  • Ability to analysis competitor propositions
  • Experience working with IFA’s
  • Share knowledge and insight with colleagues and foster a collegiate team culture across the firm.
  • Be the Company’s product knowledge expert in all things IBOSS MPS and Kingswood Personal Propositions, as well as new products as they come to market.
  • Flexible – regular travel will be required throughout our 23 locations in the UK to achieve the very best results.
