Data Center Solutions Architect Job Role

Lead DC Infra and modernization projects to make a complete data centre solution, including IT infrastructure, cloud integration or DC consolidation / migration

Perform in-depth study and analysis in IT service

Interact with client / work on RFP to understand customer's requirement and prepare technical

Lead a solution to analyse customer's RFP, being the solution architect as well as estimating the

Work as a lead architect to guide the solution team to make the design, as well as taking solution and present to client total cost and risk responsibility for HLD and LLD. Key Responsibilities

Understand and identify the requesters requirements and assess the suitability of Data Center

Planning, coordination, implementation and execution of approved policies, programs and site as per the required parameters services related to Data Center services

Contribute in RFI, RFP & Enterprise Bids and respond to bid with overall solution design and detailed solution document, Presentation and Demo as required

Tasks include but not limited to responding to RFIs, issuance of Technical Bulletins, review submittals, architectural drawings

Travel to Data Center sites for project review and site walk throughs as required

Maintain full working knowledge of current best practices for cabinet level hardware, industry standard cable management, documentation, and labelling standard

Design enterprise level architecture

HLD and LLD for Hardware, Software, Licensing, Network and Solutions.

Support and execute all data center capacity management and inventory control for optics, cables and all Data Center server/network hardware

Assist in the design and implementation of Data Center build outs, including installation of cabinets, structured cabling, and installation/provisioning of new hardware

Work with Network engineering and lead Data Center projects to ensure they are delivered to meet customer requirements

Ensures detailed solution and architectural framework are aligned throughout pursuit lifecycle. 8 to 15 Years of experience architecting / providing solutions built on DC build using VMware, Hyper V, OpenStack, HCI - Azure HCI, Nutanix, etc.

Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, applications, and networking

Strong Solution Architecture background in Technical Pre Sales ( in IaaS , PaaS , SaaS & ISV Solutions ) , Architecting Hybrid Cloud solutions, producing multi-tier, high-availability, DR architectures, Migrating work load/application

Should have worked into TIER 3 Data Center and must possess technical knowledge on various elements of Data Center

Should be able to define floor layout for a workload placement, estimate power consumption requirements, understand structured cabling requirements and able to define design & solutions towards these

Must have worked on similar projects of medium to large scale size.

Ability to help shape transition and transformation strategies

Ability to estimate variable consumption charges

Ability to make pricing assumptions to optimize cost

Presentations skills ability to articulate technical and business value/outcomes to varying audiences, Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence in a client facing role

Ability to build relationships and trust with both internal and external stakeholders

Fair understanding of Cloud Management platforms & automation

Knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of competitor products and services portfolio.

Strategic, deep understanding of Total Cost of Ownership, its relation to demonstrating an ROI and capturing business value for analysis.
