Business development analyst
Our client is a multinational IPP specialized in developing, constructing, commercializing, and operating large-scale renewable energy projects. The company has 1.8 GW under operation or under construction and a pipeline of 15 GW under development.

About the Job
Our client is looking for a Business Development Analyst to join our Business Development Department and to lead the analysis of new projects, deals and markets in Germany and Northern Europe.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this role will play a key role in the generation of business in the area and will be in charge of analyzing all new opportunities to launch the development of new projects.

Your Role
- Leadership in the analysis of origination activities in Germany.
- Capacity to understand and participate in financial modelling tasks.
- Identify new project opportunities (greenfield, under development, ready to build…)
- Launch key activities to develop projects (real estate, permitting, interconnection…)
- Secure site control for new and acquired solar power facilities.
- Successfully negotiate project site control documents.
- Understand technical, land, environmental, permitting and surveys for PV / RE projects.
- Key role in the search for new projects, new deals and new markets / segments – including greenfield projects (new locations to develop from scratch), mid-stage projects (up to a certain development stage) and RTB projects.
- Leading analysis of both organic and M&A opportunities to ensure sizeable growth of the company in Germany.
- Manage due diligence processes with internal teams and external advisors – including contractors, vendors, and consultants to maintain project timeline and budget.
- Market analysis and continuous research of new opportunities and assessment of the regulatory environment.
- Identify areas of business generation in the country; identifying connection points, designing the strategy to win potential auctions / tenders (both public and private).
- Assessment of all technical-economic inputs and optimization of project returns.
- Attending local and national events such as conferences, trade shows, summits… growing and improving the business network for the company.
Your Profile
- Bachelor´s degree on Business Administration
- 2-4 years of experience in business development in the energy sector, especially focused on the solar photovoltaic market.
- Knowledge of the energy market and renewable energy sector is essential (PV is a must, Wind/BESS are a plus).
- Project management skills, including managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
- High level knowledge of solar renewable energy construction process.
- Working knowledge of GIS applications.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
- Good research skills.
- Independent thinker able to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Team player with strong initiative, intrinsically motivated, works autonomously.
- German market knowledge, industry contacts and existing network.
- Native German is a must
