Position Summary

The Treasury Manager is tasked with leading the Company's treasury operations with a focus on liquidity optimization, enhancing operations, and safeguarding assets. This role is crucial in developing strategies that ensure the scalability and sustainability of company operations, addressing financial, market, and operational risks proactively to support Clark Associates' strategic goals. The incumbent will lead and develop a dynamic team of treasury professionals, ensuring team & individual growth, operational excellence, and executing on department and company initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administration of the cash management process which includes daily journal entries, cash analysis, wire transfers, investments, borrowings, and various other cash activities.
  • Monitor and oversee existing bank infrastructure including accounts, services, signatories, while managing all administrative functions such as opening, closing, and maintaining accounts.
  • Create, support, and maintain end-to-end treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Review, approve and release electronic disbursements, ACH and wire payments; troubleshoot daily transaction issues as they occur.
  • Own near-term cash flow forecasting and support mid- and long-range cash flow forecasts.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives including recommending, evaluating, and implementing new treasury products and services.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Manage a highly effective team of treasury professionals by providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure the teams effectiveness and professional growth.
  • Oversee merchant accounts and corporate purchasing card programs across all entities.
  • Analyze monthly bank fees including merchant, treasury, borrowing, and legal expenses.
  • Participate in and collaborate across functional silos on strategic initiatives and goals.
  • Support and oversee month end close and reporting responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance, treasury, commercial lending, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Certified Treasury Professional preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications as well as competence in using treasury management software and financial tools.
  • Ability to adapt to changing financial environments and make strategic adjustments as necessary.
  • Effective leadership skills to manage a team and drive results.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting to make informed decisions.
  • Adept analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial transactions and reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work within and across functional teams.
  • Project management and process improvement skills.

Language Skills

  • Business Proficiency in English is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role is hybrid-remote consisting of 2-3 in office days each week and the remainder telecommute from home. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.

Travel Requirements

May require occasional travel to other facilities within the region.

This position plays a critical role in forecasting, managing bank relationship, policy administration, risk management and capital deployment. The Treasury Manager will spearhead initiatives to optimize processes, mitigate fraud, and implement cutting-edge treasury technologies.
