About This Position
The FP&A Senior Specialist will be responsible for preparing corporate-level liquidity and financial forecasts, budgets, analysis and management reporting. The position will help develop, maintain and manage corporate financial models and tools as well as corporate and project-level processes related to financial & liquidity forecasts and budgets, analysis and management reporting. This position will report directly to FP&A, Sr. Manager and work closely with Business departments and other Finance teams.
Overview of Department
The FP&A team is currently made up of four FP&A employees within an Corporate Finance department. The team’s main responsibility is timely and accurate delivery of corporate-level liquidity and financial forecasts and budgets, related analysis, and management reporting.
- Prepare financial models and other financial and operational materials
- Prepare and present internal and external reporting and scenario analyses
- Coordinate corporate and project-level budgeting and forecasting processes, prepare variance analysis vs. budget and prior forecasts
- Analyze and present financial results, understand key drivers and related sensitivities
- Design and improve financial analysis and reporting tools and processes
- Support capital planning and cash management processes
- Support corporate finance transaction processes
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 2 - 6 years of relevant work experience in FP&A, Finance, or related roles
- Understanding of and ability to build and manage complex financial models
- Highly proficient in Excel, G-Suite, Slack, and other collaboration tools
- High attention to detail and standards for work product
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to understand Intersect’s business from a financial perspective, from the individual projects to the company as a whole
- Solar, storage, wind or other energy experience a plus
- Highly organized, problem-solver mentality
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively
- Experience working on remote / distributed teams a plus
- CPA or MBA a plus
- Power BI and coding skills and experience a plus
- FP&A/ERP software experience a plus
- Mostly sedentary work; using standard office equipment including: a computer, keyboard, and telephone.
- Position requires some travel for company-wide meetups: :5 weeks total through a calendar year, plus additional travel required for site visits. *Full COVID-19 vaccination required to be eligible for travel
- Salary: $105,000- $120,000 USD base salary with 15-25% annual target bonus
