Part Time Tasting Room Bartender – Deep Eddy Vodka

This role is part time, Friday - Sunday, 9:45am-6:30pm (as needed for private events, holidays, or other weekday/night events) and located at our Dripping Springs, Texas location.

What The Role Is

The Deep Eddy Vodka Bartender for the Dripping Springs Visitor Center will provide an exceptional customer experience, ensuring the customer’s needs are met through flawless operation of the bar. The Bartender will be responsible for entertaining & educating guests, developing bar offerings and maintaining the bar’s cleanliness and overall appearance.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

• Provide an exceptional guest experience and connect with visitors through education and bar menu selections, maintaining a positive guest/customer relation.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all Deep Eddy Vodka products, most up to date mixology options, garnishes for drinks, all bar menu items, preparation method/time, ingredients, portion sizes, presentation, and price.
• Develop bar offerings, such as cocktails, flights of Vodka and snacks and ensure an efficient work pace to maintain guest satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain effective communication between colleagues and management.
• Maintain highest health standards, sanitation, and cleanliness in the beverage/bar area to meet local, state and government guidelines.
• Ensure all policies, procedures and practices are within local code.
• Maintain complete knowledge of Heaven Hill’s Responsible Consumption and Corporate Social Responsibility Policies
• Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and driving under the influence.
• Knowledge of product ordering protocol.
• Ensure bar is secure when not open for business.
• Participate in continuous training and educational opportunities to further develop mixology concepts.
  
  

Who You Are…

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Bartender in high volume establishment
• TABC certified
• Familiarity with vodka knowledge and language
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and technology, including cash registers, point-of-sale systems, scanners, etc.
• Proven experience in bar menu item creation
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
• Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to talk to others to convey information effectively
• Service Orientation – actively looking for ways to help people
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel and Outlook
• Capability to work within a team environment and be a self-starter
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  
  

Valued But Not Required Skills And Experience

• Previous work experience in the distilled spirits industry or visitor center, tourist attraction or retail gift shop
  
  

Physical Requirements

While performing duties of job, employee is frequently required to speak, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
