As the Learning and Development Director, and head of Lutron University, you'll be the driving force behind our learning solutions. You'll utilize your experience and expertise to craft and execute a multi-year strategy, designing and implementing engaging learning experiences that empower our teams to thrive and unleash their potential. Your leadership will support a culture of continuous development and elevate our entire company.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Head of Lutron University: Direct Lutron University by overseeing curriculum design, course development, and the delivery of transformative learning programs. Lead the design of engaging workshops, game-changing seminars, and out-of-the-box training modules.
  • Forge Ahead with Learning Strategy: Craft our corporate university strategy to build capability across the company and empower our talent to shine; team up with top business leaders to pinpoint skill gaps, competencies, and development needs across departments.
  • Shape Learning Adventures: Engineer impactful learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles, utilizing the latest industry trends and best practices.
  • Lead and Lift Teams: Mold and mentor a high-performing learning team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and service.
  • Leverage Learning Tech: Integrate cutting-edge technology into our learning landscape.
  • Measure and Magnify Success: Utilize metrics to reveal the impact of our learning initiatives on performance, retention, and overall success.
  • Connect with Innovators: Partner with external trailblazers, industry wizards, and top-notch vendors to infuse our programs with fresh perspectives while ensuring the Lutron fit.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, or a related field required with a min GPA of 3.0 for each degree earned. Master's degree preferred.
  • A proven track record with 12 years of developing learning programs in a corporate environment.
  • Leadership and mentorship track record that demonstrates an ability to inspire, motivate, and build top-notch teams.
  • Tech-savvy with experience integrating new learning technologies with more traditional learning settings (e.g., classroom and virtual platforms).
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and performance enhancement.
  • Experience building learning programs from the ground up and/or in partnership with identified vendors. Full learning and development project life cycle management experience required.
  • Collaborative bridge builder with demonstrated success in bringing departments, leaders, and stakeholders together to deploy transformational learning content.
  • Strong understanding of the operational side of learning and what it takes to support a corporate development function behind the scenes.
