Psychologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
The Psychologist (General) will be responsible for assessing individual's mental and emotional health through conducting interviews, tests, and observations.
Will diagnose psychological disorders and issues based on their assessments and observations.
Provide counseling and therapy sessions to help individuals overcome challenges and improve their overall well-being.
Conducting research to advance understanding of human behavior and develop new treatment methods is integral to the psychologist's role.
Shall participate in professional development activities to stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and ethical guidelines.
The psychologist ensures confidentiality and privacy of client information is paramount in the practice of psychology.
Maintain a level of productivity comparable with that other individuals performing similar services is expected.
Performing efficiently in emergency patient situations, following established protocols, remaining calm, and informing appropriate persons while documenting events is crucial.
The Psychologist maintains documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with clinic directives and preparing such records and reports as may be required is mandatory.
Psychologist - REQUIREMENTS
Degree: Must have a PhD or PsyD from an accredited college or university by the American Psychology Association with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
Experience: Must have at least one year of full-time experience in the last two years.
Licensure: Must hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in the state of Florida.
