As Assistant Project Manager (APM), you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day and week-to-week operations of in-unit and common area renovations. In collaboration with the other team members, you will assist in project specific administrative tasks, material procurement, and project reporting.
Responsibilities:
Assisting in the supervision of the day-to-day operations of In-unit and common area renovations.
Assisting in development and maintenance of site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager, On-Site Representative, and Senior Project Manager.
Managing construction schedules based on project team input, Trade Contractor progress and material deliveries.
Maintaining project procurement.
Preparation of supporting documents for contracts and compliance
Working alongside Project Manager/Project team members to issue RFPs and contracts.
Receiving and reviewing shop drawings and other project related product data and samples
Initiating, preparing, reviewing, tracking, and distributing RFIs.
Assisting in the management of the project permit process.
Assisting in the managing and overseeing of project budgets alongside the accounting team.
Change management systems, including soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change orders.
Compiling reports regarding financial and on-site performance of the project.
Preparation of monthly owner project status reports, as required, for approval by Project Manager.
Attending and/or leading project meetings.
Working with Project Administrator or other APM to take and facilitate project agendas & meeting minutes for assigned projects.
Working alongside the design team (Architect and Engineer) on construction administration.
Working alongside Fairstead’s on-site Property Management team on coordinating efforts throughout construction process
Assisting in managing and overseeing performance of contractor
Required to travel occasionally to specific projects & future projects
Qualifications:
Broad understanding of the design and construction industry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math/accounting skills.
Functions effectively as part of a team.
A highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual that will continually strive to push the status quo of Fairstead’s processes and procedures set in place
Strong time management skills, adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities & meet deadlines, and keen attention to detail.
Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality.

Efficiently work across multiple projects at a time alongside Project Manager(s) and On-Site Rep(s)
Have a valid Driver License
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Xcel, Project and Bluebeam viewed favorably
Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, with Minimum of 1-5 years of industry experience.
