A day in the life...

As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee the people and processes of the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead team and manage daily processes of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, & general cashiering.
  • Prepare the monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations for multiple entities.
  • Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), USALI, and internal financial reporting policies and procedures.
  • Leads training and development of accounting team and identify training opportunities related to financial processes.
  • Advise business units on and assist with implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Schedule/Perform monthly inventories as required by policy.
  • Assist/Lead operational labor meetings. Maintain labor management system with updated staffing guides/standards.
  • Provide financial analysis, including commentary on variances to budget, forecast, and/or prior year(s), where applicable.
  • Work with internal/external auditors and provide needed information for annual audits.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Complete Hospitality Tax and CAT returns.
  • Highly collaborative with leadership and communicate key levers to improve margins, including active participation in operational meetings.
  • Train and develop finance and operations teams on financial acumen and policies.
  • Assist Director of Finance as needed to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financials.

Requirements

You own this if you have…

  • 3-5 years of experience in related role, preferably in the hospitality industry showing progressive growth in responsibilities and leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred?
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
